"She is a nationally-known lawyer, teacher, writer, and political activist. She is founder and executive director of the Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute (MCLI at http://mcli.org an organization that seeks to promote social change by increasing the recognition and use of existing human rights and peace law at the local, state, national, and international levels.

Founded in 1965, the Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute has become part of the infrastructure supporting the Peace and Justice community. The Institute helps people protect and expand their rights under law. It has become a organizer for the right to education, a clearing house for information about social change, an advocate of government accountability, a training center, and repository of history. It has been called the Civil Liberties Church, a think tank and archive of on-going research. Ann Ginger is the author of 24 books, has taught at San Francisco State, and lectures widely on human rights and peace law under the U.S. Constitution and the UN Charter and treaties."
