The Alameda Public Affairs Forum

We felt for a long time that Alameda needed a place for the people who didn't have a voice, or for people who wanted to hear about the issues, and this is a realization of that. ... We very much committed to peace. We're committed to democracy, civil liberties. We're committed to having an intelligent and informed citizenry. That's really the main idea.

We hope the Forum can serve as an experiment in promoting democracy by bringing to the forefront discussion of timely and important matters.
