Nick Wright recently returned from the Tenth International Conference on War Tax Resistance and Peace Tax Campaigns in Brussels, Belgium, by way of the Republican National Convention in New York.

Lorin Peters, a war tax resister since the Vietname War, spent the summer with Christian Peacemaker Team in Hebron.

Plutonium in Livermore will cover "Ethical Decision-Making for Our Health and Our Childrens' Health."

  • Ethical decision-making in the face of scientific uncertainty
  • The "Precautionary Principle" as a decision tool

Experts in the scientific field will make presentations and invite participation. Small group discussions will follow.

This community workshopis being jointly planned by Tri-Valley CAREs and Western States legal Foundation (WSLF) in cooperation with Physicians for Social Responsiblity, SF Bay Area Chapter; the Alameda County Department of Public Health, and the California Department of Health Services.
